How to Get to Bali Coffee Plantation

Bali Coffee Plantation has been scattered throughout the island of Bali. You easily find this garden because in each of the coffee gardens the signboard has been installed. In fact, every visitor can enjoy free samples of coffees at the Bali Coffee Plantations. It’s very good to know more about the types of coffee while relaxing to enjoy the fresh air. Bali Coffee Plantation History

Bali Coffee Plantation is a green garden for cultivating coffee from various types of coffee in the world. You can find various coffee plantations in this garden. In fact, you can also find other plants such as cocoa, coconut or other tropical plants such as medicinal plants or herbs. Furthermore, Indonesia is one of the best coffee producing countries. The annual production of 600 thousand tons can supply seven percent of the world’s coffee needs. There are three famous types of coffee that can flourish in this country are Arabic, Robust as well as Liberia. In general, only Arabic and Robust types of coffee are most consumed in Indonesia. Types of Coffee in Indonesia and Bali

Coffee is not from Indonesia but originates from Africa. In its history, coffee was first brought to Indonesia by a Dutch governor in 1696. Apparently, coffee can grow rapidly in this tropical country. And also, the people of Indonesia have succeeded in cultivating coffee into various kinds of coffee. Of all that, there are 7 types of local coffee native to Indonesia that are globally successful. They are Arabic Gayo coffee in Sumatra, Kintamani Arabic coffee in Bali, Arabic Toraja coffee in Sulawesi, Ijen Arabic coffee, Liberia Rangsang Meranti coffee in Riau, Flores Bajawa Arabic coffee and Temanggung Robust coffee. From the 7 types of coffee, Arabic Gayo Coffee has a high concentration and strong taste and is followed by Arabic Bali coffee. But it all goes back to you, those who like coffee will certainly have different opinions.

The Making Process of Luwak Coffee

​As for the process of making the famous Luwak coffee in Bali, most of it is still done traditionally. First the coffee ore is harvested from the coffee plant and then the newly harvested coffee ore will be served to the civet animals. Where the civet animals are fed coffee ore, from the civet animal droppings coffee ore is taken and then cleaned and dried by drying in the hot sun. After drying, the ore is stir-fried until cooked in the prepared frying pan, until this process has a distinctive smell of the famous Luwak coffee on the island of Bali. After that, the roasted coffee beans will be ground into a fine powder like coffee powder. And after that the civet coffee powder will be wrapped and ready to be sold to buyers. Tasting of Luwak Coffee

The resulting Bali Coffee Luwak is said to be like no other in the world (literally). It has a rich, heavy flavor with hints of caramel and/or chocolate. Other terms used to describe it are earthy, musty and exotic. The body can be syrupy and it's the smoothest coffee you will ever have.The taste of civet coffee is very complete and will certainly nourish your body, on the island of Bali there are many places already available for civet coffee, and there are also many local companies that produce civet coffee with very good quality. So if you are on a tour and in the lapse of time you can stop for a moment at local coffee shops in tourism areas to try and taste this civet coffee. Luwak coffee taste is indeed very difficult to express, for those of you who are not coffee lovers, you may feel a slight difference, namely the taste is very smooth and not biting, but for coffee lovers, they can feel more, where many flavors are mixed into one and also the taste is very smooth and not like the usual coffee. For coffee lovers, this difference in taste is very pronounced. If you really like coffee, it would be nice if you try this luwak coffee and feel the difference with regular coffee.
